A road crew prepares a raveled and depressed area with primer prior to application of GAP Mastic.

Optional on asphalt, where it improves the bond between the prepared surface and the material. On Portland cement it is needed: without primer the material will not bond properly to concrete.

Using a solvent resistant tank sprayer, spray enough GAP-Primer to lightly cover all exposed surfaces (walls, floor, upper edges, etc) of the pavement to be repaired. Be careful not to overspray, and more than one coat is unnecessary. Wait for primer to set before continuing. CAUTION: Extremely flammable. Keep primer away from open flame, and do not smoke in the vicinity.
